Save the Children released a new video that explains how children’s rights can be transformed into children’s realities through a thematic approach called Child Rights Governance.

Child Rights Governance aims to build societies that protect, promote and fulfill the rights of children. It strengthens state institutions and mechanisms for the implementation and monitoring of children’s rights. Effective implementation of legislation for the protection of child rights is given importance. The allocation of and effective usage of resources to address rights of children is considered essential.

Child Rights Governance also works to increase awareness and capacity among civil society, media, academe and children to promote children’s rights and to hold duty bearers to account.
