CRC Asia together with the NGO Committee for the Rights of the Child (NGO CRC) organized the child rights workshop during the 2012 ASEAN Civil Society Conference/ASEAN People’s Forum (ACSC/APF).

The Human Rights Council held on March 8, 2012 the annual full-day meeting on child rights that gave specific focus on children in conflict with the law.

Geneva, 28 February 2012 – For the first time and more than twenty years after the official recognition of their rights, children are provided with the possibility to access justice at the international level through a newly adopted complaints procedure.

The second annual report of the UN Special Representative of the Secretary General (SRSG) on violence against children has been submitted to the UN General Assembly.

In 8 June 2011, Aung Myo Min, Director of Human Rights Education Institute of Burma (HREIB) and a member of CRC Asia, delivered a statement on the human rights situation in Burma during the 17th Regular Session of the UN Human Rights Council.
